Enrichment at JKCP is a summer pre-college enrichment day program for high school students that is designed to let you explore new subjects, make friends from all over the world, and experience college life at Villanova University. You’ll choose two classes each week in areas such as pre-college academics, business, the arts, cooking, sports, and sciences. Choose one class for the morning and one class for the afternoon. With over 40 classes to choose from each week, you’ll easily find a class that is right for you!

You’ll be learning in an immensely dynamic, hands-on environment. You’ll discover new skills and passions while exploring future majors or careers before heading off to college. It’s an amazing summer and pre-college enrichment experience for teens like no other.

Learn from the Pros

The instructors at JKCP are what set us apart from other pre-college programs. Professional chefs, touring tennis professionals, and award winning photographers; we select our instructors for both their expertise and their love for what they do best. This passion makes each class engaging, fun, and really different than your typical high school class. All of our instructors are subject matter experts and 95% have a Master’s Degree.

At JKCP we believe learning should be fun. We want you to be excited to go to classes each day. Class sizes are always small, which ensures that the teachers can be consistently engaging and able to differentiate instruction each week.

In addition, we have full-time Academic Advisors who monitor the classes throughout the summer to ensure each class is maintaining a good balance of learning and fun.

Pre-College Experience

Villanova University

As a pre-college enrichment summer program student, you get to experience life at Villanova. From walking to class on the beautiful campus to eating in the dining halls to taking classes in the historic buildings, you’ll get a taste of what life as a college student is really like. You’ll love the modern facilities, classrooms, WiFi and state-of-the-art athletic spaces.

Meals

You’ll eat lunch at the campus dining center. The food at camp is typical of a college cafeteria. There are always multiple options available for each meal including vegetarian choices. Salad, fruit, vegetables, sandwich deli bar and different hot entrees are served. If you have special dietary needs or allergies, please contact us prior to your arrival.

Medical

If you don’t feel well, just let your instructor know and we’ll help you get better in no time. Chances are you won’t need it, but we have a nurse and doctor on-call and are minutes from the region’s top hospitals.

Safety

JKCP is proactive about your safety.

With our students coming from over 35 states and 40 countries, there are so many opportunities to learn from other students and learn about the world in every activity you do. In today’s global economy, we believe it is essential for you to be exposed to different cultures. There is so much value in hearing other languages, learning about their cultures, and realizing how different the world is. The JKCP community can take you anywhere. We have global opportunities that reach, quite literally, around the globe. Every year we hear how much students enjoy meeting people from all over the country and the world and how it opened their eyes to different parts of the globe. We love nothing more than to hear about you traveling to another part of the world to visit one of your new friends. We really are creating a “World Without Strangers.”

Day Tuition Explained

Full Day (9:30am - 4:00pm): $595

Morning Only (9:30am - 1:30pm): $375

Afternoon Only (12:00pm - 4:00pm): $375

Full or Half-Day Tuition Includes:

On campus lunch
Instruction every day

Course materials

A deposit of $375 of the total tuition is due within 7 days of submitting the application.

Tuition Does Not Include:

Non-refundable application fee: $50
SAT Prep: $250
Extended Commuter Option: $150 per week (Allows day students to join us for dinner and evening activities Monday through Friday.)

How to Apply

Submit your application online or call 610.265.9401.
You’ll receive an invoice from us via email.
Submit your deposit, application fee and cancellation insurance via your online account. Charges will appear on your credit card statement as “JKST, Inc.”.
Complete your supplemental forms in your account. This is the important stuff…your health, arrival and about you info.
Submit final payments.

All of our classes have limited space availability, so you’ll want to apply as soon as possible. Classes have rolling admissions, the earlier you apply, the better your chances of getting the classes you want most.

Cancellation Insurance

We strongly suggest purchasing Cancellation Insurance. The price of the insurance is $30 per week for day programs and your coverage must be purchased and paid in full within seven days of application confirmation. If Cancellation Insurance is purchased, any fees paid to JKCP other than the Nonrefundable Application Fee, Nonrefundable Deposit and Nonrefundable Cancellation Insurance Fees are covered by this policy and will be refunded when you withdraw at least fourteen days prior to your session’s start date.

Payment Options

We require a deposit and application fee at the time of application to secure your spot in the program. Your balance may be paid via cash, check, wire transfer or credit card. All payments paid by credit card will have an additional fee. Charges will appear on your credit card statement as “JKST, Inc.”.

Day Student Schedule

Drop-Off

Please arrive on campus at 9:00am on the first Monday of your session as we have a student orientation to kick off each week. Then, you can arrive at 9:15am for Tuesday - Friday. We’ll meet you outside of Bartley Hall on Villanova’s Campus. There is a driveway near it that makes drop-off really easy.

Pick-Up

Pick-up is at 4:15pm at the end of the day and is in the same location.

Every evening there is a planned event. Day students are welcome to join the residential camp for dinner and evening activities for $150 per week.

FAQ's

How many classes do I take per week?: Every week you will take two classes. One morning class from 9:30am to 12:00pm and another afternoon class from 1:30pm to 4:00pm.
Can I mix and match classes in any subject area?: Yes, we have over 40 classes to choose from in the arts, sciences, business, cooking, academics and sports. You can choose two classes in any subject every week.
How do I choose my classes?: Review the class schedule ahead of time with your parents. Make sure they are classes you are both happy with. You may also schedule a consult with our academic director at 610.265.9401 x56.
When do I pick my classes?: After you apply, you can log into your account to upload your class selections.
How long are the classes?: Every day, each class is 2.5 hours long. For the whole week, you will be in each of your classes for 12.5 hours.
How do I get to my classes?: You will walk with staff the first two days of the program. After that, walk with the other students in your class. Staff members are always available to walk with students or point them in the right direction.
Will I go off campus for classes?: Sometimes we go off campus for classes or field trips. If so, you will be traveling on JKCP buses, JKCP vans or by a professional transportation company.
What if I do not like my classes?: We strongly encourage you to try the class that you originally selected. If for some reason, you really do not like your class, we do give you the option to choose a new class within the first two days.
What are the qualifications of your teachers?: They are experts in their field and excel at teaching this age group. No matter what subject, they deliver knowledgeable instruction that is fun, engaging, and helps students learn. We have a completely separate staff that focuses on residential life.

What is cancellation insurance?: We recommend cancellation insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances. The price of the insurance is $30 per week for day programs. Cancellation Insurance must be paid within 7 days of your application.

Is Villanova University safe?: Villanova University is very safe. It is a small and self-contained suburban campus with 24/7 on campus security.
What should I bring to camp?: In your pre-summer information packet you will receive a complete packing list. Please leave any valuable personal items at home. We're not responsible for any personal items.
What is the food like?: The food is typical of a college cafeteria. You are given the freedom to make your own choices. Salad, fruit, vegetables, sandwich deli bar and different hot entrees accompany each lunch.
What if I have a food allergy?: If you have any special dietary needs or allergies, please contact us prior to your arrival.
What happens if I am sick or injured?: A nurse, doctor and trainer are always on call. There is a hospital within five minutes of campus. If you are not feeling well, please tell your instructor immediately.
What is the difference between the residential and day options?: Residential students stay on campus for meals, housing, and evening and weekend activities. Day students are on campus for daily programming and lunch only. Day students can stay for dinner or evening and weekend activities at additional costs.

What is your policy on smoking and substance abuse?: We have a zero tolerance policy for the possession and/or use of alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, vapor devices, weapons, and drugs. Use or possession will result in immediate expulsion and any costs associated are at your expense.
Will we have class on July 4?: Yes! We will have class on July 4th on the normal schedule. We will just do some extra celebrating in the evening by going to see local fireworks if you want to join us.
