Instructional Play Every Day

After a thorough pre-swing and in-swing evaluation, our certified golf pros will concentrate on the fundamentals of your swing, scoring shots and putting. We’ll also analyze and solve various shot-selection situations based on your game. You’ll learn stroke fundamentals on driving ranges and golf courses suitable for your game while playing fun 9-to-15 hole competitions. On Fridays, everyone competes in our weekly 18-hole tournament. Play for points, play for pride, as you compete in a team format against other JKCP players.

Complete Training Just Like the Pros

With five hours of golf each day, you are going to love seeing improvements in your game. We analyze each player’s game individually to develop your strengths and potential. Then, you’ll be placed in small groups based on skill level so you can learn with other players just like you. We’ll focus on these key elements of your game:

  • Technical — Solid swing mechanics

  • Tactical — Know how to win

  • Physical — Be fit to be a better golfer

  • Mental — Stay focused and competitive

  • Nutritional — Get an extra edge

World Class Instruction For Every Level

Learn the correct grip, aim and posture for different aspects of the golf game. Learn course management like teeing off, understanding different parts of the golf course and stroke play. Use games and fun activities to learn and practice new skills.

Full swing drills. Short game exercises and drills. The downswing and finish. Understanding more physical aspects of golf and what exercises to do.

Understanding ball flight laws and clubface angles. Where to place the golf ball on the course to play to your strength. Includes more serious play and more physically demanding amounts of golf.

If you are focused on tournaments and rankings, our high-intensity tournament training golf program trains you physically, tactically and mentally for the game’s most challenging moments. We’ll play on the area’s toughest courses to help you excel in competitive play. Concentration, motivation, cross-training, fueling your body — it’s all taught here.

At the JKCP golf program, all of our teaching professionals are PGA, USGTF and EGTF certified. We maintain a low, 4:1 student to pro ratio, which means each player will get individualized attention and instruction. Our pros come from around the world and are some of the best. They have played in international tournaments, and they know what it takes to make it in golf. They will work with you, no matter what your skill set or goals, to ensure that the level of play is right for you.

Danie Steyn, Golf Director – Born in South Africa, Danie started playing golf at age 12. Since then, he served as Captain of South Africa’s Free State Provincial Team, won the Schoeman Park GC Pelco Open, been runner-up at the De Wets Open, Northern Cape Kimberly Open in South Africa, Duncan Cup and   Shrudder Cup, been a team member for Royal Wellington, New Zealand, played professionally on the Alp Tour in Europe and shot 7 hole in ones!

College Life. From meeting your new roommate, walking to class on the beautiful campus, eating in the dining halls, and taking classes in the historic buildings, you’ll get a taste of what life as a college student is really like. You’ll love the modern facilities, air-conditioned dorms, snack shops, WiFi and state-of-the-art athletic spaces.

International Experience. About 40% of students come from around the world to join us at JKCP each summer.  Every year we hear how much students enjoy meeting people from all over the country and the world and how it opened their eyes to different parts of the globe.

Trips & Activities. One of the best parts of JKCP is the activities. Every evening there is a planned event. Sometimes we stay on campus, and other nights we’ll travel to a local venue for an off-campus activity. Trips are offered every Saturday to regional destinations of your choice. And Sundays are for exploring the Philadelphia region.
